Sarasota Memorial Healthcare System is seeking Medical Technologists for the New North Port Ambulatory Care Center.
JOB SUMMARY: Requires a qualified professional employee, licensed as a technologist by the State of Florida , who performs laboratory tests under supervision to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in a health science program or medical technology required. Employees hired prior to 1/1/09 were grandfathered into this position. Qualified as an ASCP, AMT, NCA, or an equivalent medical technologist is required. Current technologist license required under Chapter 483, Part IV, Florida Statute 61F-5. Minimum of one (1) year experience in a clinical laboratory preferred. Excellent communication and listening skills preferred. Good organizational skills, able to handle multiple priorities at once preferred. Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications and office equivalent. Ability to take rotating call coverage on holidays and weekends. Qualified professional employee, licensed as a technologist by the State of Florida, who performs laboratory tests under supervision to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Able to work with minimal supervision. Demonstrates good skills in all forms of communication. Basic working knowledge of commonly use computer applications and/or Microsoft Office equivalent. Good physical and mental health. College graduate preferred. Ability to work when needed. One (1) year laboratory experience preferred.
