Responsibilities 1. Assists with smooth operation of the department. 2. Maintains equipment calibration standards. 3. Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment. 4. Orders supplies and materials. 5. Develops and maintains a quality improvement program. 6. Assists with monthly patient statistics. 7. Assists in the preparation and supporting compliance with the annual budget. 8. Updates the policy and procedures manual. 9. Develops and implements programs/services. 10. Provides supervision of audiology interns. 11. Develops and conducts in-services for hospital staff. 12. Recommends and justifies program growth and restructuring through professional standards and awareness of the needs of organization and community needs. 13. Performs clinical testing and interpretation, recommendation/referrals and consultations. Minimum Qualifications Current Certification of Clinical Competence issues by the American Speech and Hearing Association is required. Current state licensure issued by the State Board of Examiners for Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists is required. Skills Knowledge of program operations sufficient to plan, schedule, and provide budget input for clinic operations. Skill in conducting audiological tests, including operating equipment and evaluating results. Skill in organizing and prioritization of work. Skill in oral and written communication. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, hospital personnel, the public, physicians, and other individuals. Skill in supervising audiology interns.
