SHLMC Radiology Responsibilities Operational Planning & Strategy (including technology): 1. Participates with site based leadership on long and short-range strategic business plans, goals and objectives. 2. Works with Director & peers in development of specialty strategy integrating both site and network plans including appropriate contingency planning. 3. Serves as site-based specialty leader, representing specialty at site operations team and other site based teams as needed. 4. Identifies and recommends site-based marketing plans based on observed trends in new and existing services, innovation, technology and reimbursement. 5. Works closely with peers to ensure standardized equipment, supplies and practice for all sites, as applicable. 6. Works closely with both departmental & Information Services (IS) teams to provide needed support for associates in IS infrastructure and applications. 7. Develops and implements policies and procedures for departmental and unit operations and maintains established policies. 8. Identifies and analyzes the design of jobs, work processes and flows for the department and implements appropriate changes in order to improve work effectiveness, productivity, and efficiency that support the overall goals of the department and network. Relationship Management (Site Leadership/ Nursing Leadership/ Physician Relations): 1. Develops and maintains effective, collaborative relationships with all site leadership, specialties and departments including other specialty managers and associates. 2. Manages relationships and conducts planning with site-specific physician groups and with network-based physicians as needed. 3. Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with specialty related vendors. 4. Serves as a specialty consultant to the community at large on behalf of Seton. 5. Effectively shares information and resources with colleagues in order to achieve and maintain practice and technology standardization as applicable. 6. Demonstrates ability to own and deliver positive and constructive messages. Human Resources Planning & Management 1. Collaborates with Director and Human Resources to develop and manage specialty recruitment, training (including orientation & skills development), retention and development plans and is responsible for development and implementation of site-based plans. 2. Manages and develops direct reports including schedule & payroll management, performance appraisals, coaching and discipline. Financial Planning & Management (including contract & technology management) 1. Develops, administers, tracks and takes preventive action regarding budgeting and fiscal responsibilities to ensure that the Department has the necessary funds to carry out the goals and objectives which have been established for the area. 2. Participates in the development and administration of both long-term and annual capital plans which include facilities, systems and equipment. 3. Implements and monitors compliance with revenue integrity processes. 4. Manages area(s) finances in alignment with Seton and Ascension Health contract agreements and targets. 5. Insures timely and accurate processing of invoices. Safety/Compliance/Accreditation: 1. Implements specialty quality initiatives in the areas of patient safety, Joint Commission, specialty accreditation, and performance improvement in alignment with network specialty plan and promotes specialty knowledge sharing. 2. Serves as specialty consultant to site quality and accreditation initiatives. 3. Utilizes operational data to monitor and report specialty performance. 4. Satisfies all requirements for all federal & state regulatory agencies (e.g. inventory, record keeping, and inspections). 5. Partners with other disciplines and leaders to foster relationships that support the continuous enhancement of care delivery. 6. Works with specialty Network Education Coordinator (NEC) to ensure compliance with required educational and competency standards. Minimum Qualifications Associates degree in specialty or related field is required. Bachelors Degree in specialty or related field is preferred. Five (5) years of progressive supervisory and leadership experience is required. Current license to practice in Texas in a related specialty is required. Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to use applicable technology and computer systems is required.
