Seton Edgar B. Davis Full/Part: Full-Time Days - 8hr Shift: Grade FLSA Status 024 P Responsibilities 1. Takes complex medical histories on patients referred for consultation by academic and community physicians. 2. Performs physical examinations. 3. Orders laboratory tests, x-rays, special imaging studies and other diagnostic procedures. 4. Monitors level and adjusts immunosuppressive medications. 5. Orders and supervises the administration of blood products. 6. Reaches tentative diagnosis of medical, surgical and other conditions. 7. Develops treatment plans in conjunction with attending physician to provide optimal patient medical management. 8. Participates in continuing medical education to include specialty and sub-specialty meetings, clubs, boards and conferences. 9. Assists in the collection of data for research projects. 10. Orders consultation and interacts with members of other specialty teams. Minimum Qualifications Two (2) years of specialty experience relevant to position is preferred. Current license to practice as a Physicians Assistant (PA) from the State of Texas required. Current certification in Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support required within one month of hire date.
