POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Scott and Laura Eller Congenital Heart Center of the Heart and Lung Institute at St. Josephs Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona has an opportunity for a pediatric cardiac sonographer to work with a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. The sonographers will be joining a Pediatric and Fetal Non-Invasive Laboratory. All images are digitally archived. There is great opportunity to experience imaging a broad spectrum of congenital and acquired heart defects, from simple to complex. The Laboratory performs all aspects of ultrasound imaging transthoracic, transesophageal, fetal, intracardiac, and stress. Ample opportunity for participation in echocardiography research and education is available. Performs ECHO procedures, compiling data for physician interpretation. Performs procedures requiring independent judgement/initiative. Assists with schedules & peer performance evaluations. Assists with evaluation of equipment/procedures. Participates in department QA program and accreditation. - Certified from a AMA program in Cardiac Echo Sonography Two years ECHO experience - Registered with ARDMS and one other subspecialty such as Vascular Ultrasound - Registered Diagnostic Cardiovascular Sonographer (RDCS)or RCVT in PedsPerforms pediatric echocardiograms. Advises cardiologists of results of examination and provides preliminary diagnostic evaluation.
