Our multidisciplinary approach known as Team Medicine gives every individual the chance to contribute to the well-being of our patients and the continuing success of our medical center. The section of neurosurgery at Virginia Mason Medical center is looking for an experienced surgical PA-C provider to work with our neurosurgical staff. Our medical staff is comprised of three neurosurgeons and is supported by two mid-level providers, an RN, and three surgical schedulers. The successful candidate would share both hospital and clinic duties with other midlevel providers which include: surgical assist, hospital rounds, patient assessment, perform admission history and physicals, write orders for laboratory and radiographic tests, and share in weekend call coverage. Additional stipend is offered for call coverage. The surgical volumes entail a broad range of adult brain and spinal surgical procedures. This position requires Certification as a Physician Assistant and a WA State Physician Assistant License with prescriptive authority, plus one year experience in specialty areas.
