40 hr/wk; Mon - Sat, with variable days off
Job Details: Bachelor´s degree required EMS Education Coordinator for the New Haven Sponsor Hospital Paramedic Program and American Heart Association Community Training Center (AHA-CTC). B.S. Degree or equivalent. Successful completion of an approved EMT Paramedic training program. 5 years experience providing emergency medical services with at least 3 years of paramedic field experience. 3 years of supervisory or management position in emergency medical services. 3 years of teaching experience in emergency medical services. Licensed State of CT EMT – Paramedic. State of Connecticut EMS-Instructor, AHA ACLS, PALS and CPR Instructor, PHTLS Instructor. Must be able to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, a cheerful disposition, and the ability to interact effectively with personnel from a wide variety of agencies. Possesses organizational skills, creativity and the ability to devise new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing training practices. Possesses knowledge and understanding of the EMS equipment and training aids. Possesses or can obtain skills using personal computers for word processing, database management and spreadsheets. May be required to lift and move moderately heavy training aids, audiovisual equipment, supplies and patients. Variable days and evenings; every Saturday and considerable evening hours.
