Nemours is seeking an Audiology Program Coordinator to join our team in Delaware.

Coordinates and ensures the operational integrity of the designated clinical program in collaboration with Director of Therapeutic and Rehabilitative Services. Responsible for providing team leadership and management of patient care. Oversees ongoing development and retention of qualified clinical staff through programmatic education, and staff training needs. Responsible for participation in hospital programs for Quality Assessment and Improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services, making recommendations and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with the goals of the Nemours Foundation. Provides evaluation, treatment and consultation independently to patients within the program under the prescription of a physician within the guidelines designated by department and hospital policy and procedures. Demonstrates clinical competency in direct patient care and is responsible for minimum completion of 100% of basic clinical competencies at staff level 1 and 2. 1. Manages daily patient and staff schedules, including emergent requests, clinic add-ons and inpatient orders. 2. Coordinates recruitment and hiring with Director; oversees or facilitates competency-based orientation. 3. Provides supervisory management of the audiology team members including completion of annual clinical performance appraisals. 4. Maintains 100% staff compliance in completion of all annual mandatory inservice programs, and policies and procedures as outlined in the Policy Manual and as required by JCAHO/CARF. 5. Maintains and reviews annually 100% clinical staff compliance with clinical and age specific competencies, including per diem staff. 6. Assists in the development of the annual technical skills and programmatic goals for department and program for annual appraisals. 7. Approves and coordinates time off requests and utilization of per diem staff to assure adequate staffing levels. 8. Manages with Director any required staff disciplinary action. 9. Manages/completes payroll time for clinical staff; including any research activities. 10. Develops and maintains physician liaison role for rehabilitation and inpatient programs (Day Medicine; ENT, etc,). 11. Facilitates communication and team building of the interdisciplinary team. 12. Fosters a collaborative program management style. 13. Acknowledge and encourage discipline specific skills, mentoring and clinical excellence.
