Overland Park Regional Medical Center has been serving the healthcare needs of Johnson County and the surrounding counties since December of 1978. The hospital is a licensed 343-bed facility offering acute medical care services to our patients.
The Hyperbaric Technician, under the general supervision of the Hyperbaric Physician and the direct supervision of the Clinical Manager, will assume responsibility for the safe and effective operation of the compression chamber system and supporting components. All therapeutic and diagnostic modalities will be ordered by the Hyperbaric Physician. The Hyperbaric Technician will also be responsible for performing maintenance activities of the hyperbaric chamber(s) and associated systems and equipment, as directed. In addition, he/she will report to the Center HBO Safety Director with respect to safety issues and/or concerns. Minimum of one year of experience in healthcare or the diving industry is required. Wound care, hyperbaric medicine, and/or experience in emergency medicine or acute medical care is preferred.5. Specific training and/or experience in compression chamber operations, including a demonstrated knowledge of decompression tables strongly desired.6. Ability to physically meet the working conditions required of the job. 7. Computer literate.
