The Clinical Therapist will be responsible for providing direct and indirect client care as well as providing psychotherapeutic services to clients and families. This person will serve as a member for the interdisciplinary team supporting the facility’s treatment programs. They will be the primary liaison between the facility and outside agencies for discharge planning, abuse reporting, and continuum of care functions. Requirements This position requires a Master’s degree in Social Work. One year relevant work experience is preferred. This candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary treatment team. Case management experiences is a plus.

The Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) Social Worker practices independently of professional social work supervision. The Social Worker is responsible for developing and implementing follow-up services at the Junction City CBOCs. Duties include but are not limited to: responsible for developing and implementing psychiatric follow-up services to eligible veterans and their family members; responsible for development, maintenance, adaptation and evaluation of patients; completes bio-psychosocial assessments; provides clinical consultation; provides individual, group, and family therapy and case management; locates and coordinates referrals to appropriate community resources; provides clinical consultation to identify social, cultural, and ethnic factors necessary for optimal functioning; participates in program planning addressing the needs of complex medical and social problems of continuity of care patients and identifies program deficiencies and takes corrective actions.
