We are seeking a Physician Assistant – Behavioral Health.

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm position in our 30-bed Inpatient Behavioral Health unit at our Thayer campus. This is an adult unit and you would provide medical consultative support for patients admitted to the Psychiatric/Detox unit and the Intensive Outpatient program. You will provide H&Ps as well as monitor medical care for specific patients. We offer loan forgiveness and relocation assistance.We are located in central Maine and are a short drive away from ski resorts, lakes and rivers, award-winning golf courses, abundant hiking trails, and the beautiful Maine coast. We are just an hour north of Portland, Maine´s largest city, and three hours from Boston.

The North Carolina Department of Health & Human Services is recruiting Physician Assistants. These positions will provide care and services for individuals at Cherry Hospital, which is located in Goldsboro, North Carolina. We are eagerly anticipating the completion of our new state-of-the-art facility which is slated to open in 2011. As a Physician Assistant, youll serve as a vital member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and work closely with the physicians, pharmacists, professional support staff, and direct care staff at the hospital. This includes responsibility for performing history and physicals of patients on admission, annual physicals, dictate discharge summaries, sick-call, prescribe medications and order lab work. Our 24 hour inpatient facility serves adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. This is an exciting time to join our professional team as we expand to provide the best quality inpatient psychiatric services for the citizens of eastern North Carolina. Requires Graduation from a Physician Assistant program approved by the N. C. Board of Medical Examiners and Approved to Practice Medical Acts based on education and experience by the Board of Medical Examiners, and preferably one year of experience as an Extender.
