He/She will complete three units of Clinical Pastoral Education. Reporting to the Director of Pastoral Care and Education, the Priest provides pastoral care to patients and their families through counseling and/or the administration of sacraments. This individual is responsible for the coordination of the Catholic Ministry recruitment, training and under the supervision of the Director, provides leadership to Eucharistic Ministers. Develops relationships with area priests and parishes, participates as a member of the Pastoral Care team and the interdisciplinary team for patient care. Ordination as a Catholic priest is required. The Coordinator of Mission Integration is accountable for coordinating and supporting mission integration activities within the organization and in the community to ensure that the healing ministry of the Catholic tradition and the spirit of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth is understood and integrated. Reports to the Vice President, Mission Integration.Bachelors degree Theology, Pastoral Studies, Spirituality, or other related area of study required. Masters degree Theology, Pastoral Studies, Spirituality or other related area of study preferred. Minimum of 3-4 years of leadership experience in which presentations, group facilitation, project management, and community involvement were major areas of accountability.

Reporting to the Manager, Spiritual Care, the Chaplain will provide spiritual care and counsel for patients, partners, families and staff strengthening the commitment to holistic care by attention to the human spiritual dimension, both for people of faith and for those who have no religious affiliation or practice. The Chaplain will be skilled in the practice of direct patient care and as a member of inter-professional clinical teams. In addition, the successful candidate will work collaboratively to enrich our systemic approach to the Human Spirit at LHSC.
