Purpose: Supervises all day to day operations for Radiology departments in multiple sites, ensuring appropriate staffing, productivity standards, high quality service, and high member satisfaction through collaboration with Labor, MAPMG and Health Plan personnel. This position consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Kaiser Permanente´s Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to the applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Kaiser Permanente´s policies and procedures. In addition, Regional leaders are accountable for communication, implementation, enforcement, monitoring and oversight of compliance policies and practices in their departments.Accountabilities:1. Collaborates with Radiologists, Service Area Manager and Service Line Managers ensuring clinically standardized and quality focused care to all members.2. Ensures adherence to currently established departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.3. Manages appointment access to comply with regional targets and develops action plans for areas not meeting those targets.4. Supervises and ensures day to day operational effectiveness of department.5. Supervises all staff within the department maintaining safe staffing levels within productivitystandards and procedure guidelines.6. Ensures adherence to policies regarding accreditation standards from ACR, FDA/ MQSA, as well as state regulations for Maryland, Virginia, and/or the District of Columbia.7. Performs internal departmental audits regularly to include management of CND, incomplete studies, etc.8. Rounds the department daily presenting results and follow up action plans when necessary.9. Supports the development, documentation, monitoring, training, and orienting of all department employees.10. Supports monitoring tools that were developed to assess quality and establish consistency throughout the department.11. Attends and supports the department in Center/ Cluster QI meetings.12. Supports the process and culture of continuous performance and quality improvement.13. Manages department operating budget (to include payroll, non payroll and agency), maintaining budget neutral or positive variances, outlining appropriate action plans to correct deficiencies.14. Maintains a positive and professional attitude with peers, patients, families/significant others, medical center staff, physicians, and visitors.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Relevant Years of Experience:- Seven years clinical Radiology experience in one modality required, but a second modality preferred.- Five years experience in a supervisor or lead role in Radiology department.- Previous financial and performance management experience required.- Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations required.- Work one weekend per month required.Education and/or Classes:- BS Degree in Radiological Science or applicable field required or equivalent years of experience may be considered.Certification and/or Designation:- ARRT or equivalent certification required
