My supervisor mumbles all the time. He's also aggressive and in a constant hurry. When he says things and we don't understand, he acts like we're stupid and sometimes even walks away. Recently he reprimanded me for doing something incorrectly. But I didn't understand him in the first place. I don't think that's fair. What should I do? Sincerely, What? Dear What?: There are some people who shouldn't be in management, and he's one of them. You're damned if you do ask questions and you're damned if you don't. Someone put him in this position of authority, so you should complain to that person, but you'll need support. Bring several coworkers with you or provide evidence of high staff turnover (if this is the case). Hopefully management will get rid of him. Otherwise, I'd suggest that you get a new job to get away from this person. ♦We're now having some of our other writers help out answering the "Dear Cindy" questions. Enjoy!
