What guides are available for medical coding related to orthopedics? Sincerely, Wondering Dear Wondering: I'd suggest going to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons' website. They sell the Orthopaedic CPT® Coding Guide (with RVUs) 2008 and the Orthopaedic Code X 2008 Coding Database PC/Mac Format, as well as Complete Global Service Data for Orthopaedic Surgery 2008 and CPT/ICD-9 Cross Reference for Orthopaedic Surgery 2008. Other groups also have guides, such as The Coding Institute's Orthopedic Surgery Coder's Survival Guide. Discuss This ArticleHave something you'd like to say? Tell us what you think!
