How to Create a Bad Impression with No Effort at All – Four!

 

Due to popular demand, here are more examples of what not to do in cover letters and basic queries!

As before, these are all real, having been collected over a few years. Second, with one exception, these items are from native English speakers. Third, in order to give you the real effect, we haven't corrected capitalization, spelling, punctuation, or grammar. Finally, we have cut out portions of sentences, but never to create false errors, just to shorten material.

Our name is Jessica and Edna. We are … interested of working abroad. We don't know if you offer this opportunity to [our specialty] but we're gonna try anyways. I can't believe they actually wrote "gonna" (and "anyways")!
Good afternoon, I am interested in more information concerning work in [location], I fit all the qualifications that are listed. I would appreciate it if you could send me more information.
• Could you tell us what you do?
• Based on the email, I doubt you "fit all the qualifications."
i am interested in nusring position … I have 10 yrs. experience in OR nursing , with a level one trauma center and all areas of OR with specialty in orthopedics, and addition experience in charge nurse for nights and wekk ends and hoolidays.. Please provide for me furter information and the physical requirements for the jobs. Unless you're the reincarnation of E.E. Cummings (the poet known for using unconventional capitalization in his poems), use proper capitalization (not to mention punctuation and spelling)!
i have 1 year extensive experience in Med-surg nursing and Home Care This is clearly impossible.

I would like some information on Salaries … Another example of someone who makes the educational system, her/himself, and her/his profession look bad.
i am a physical therapist working in usa for the last ten years.i am us citizin, See the note immediately above, and the note concerning E.E. Cummings.
For personal reasons, I am exploiting the possibility of working abroad depending on more lucrative compensation, financial-wise. Come again?
