Sometimes licensing bodies –
in addition to deciding on disciplinary actions –
make editorial comments about a person's actions.
• "The respondent had been
dispensing C-V drugs to patient S.J. without a prescription
by an authorized prescriber. The substances (codeine
cough syrup) were dispensed on the following dates:
[approx. 186 dates, spanning 1994 to 2000] …
A minimally competent pharmacist would not
have sold codeine cough syrup on or after 12/9/94."
(Our italics.)
• "Registrant admitted
that in each of two inspections, the pharmacy held
for sale expired drugs, failed to maintain a daily
prescription log, and maintained the dispensing area
in an excessively cluttered fashion; and, that in
one of the inspections, the pharmacy held for sale
misbranded drugs." (Note it's not just cluttered,
it's excessively cluttered.)
