Among the various stories told
by licensing bodies to explain why individuals have
been reprimanded, penalized, and/or had their licenses
suspended/withdrawn are those that make the reader
think: "What were they thinking?!"
• "[The] Director of the
[School] Psychiatric Residency Program, and others
met with Respondent and informed him that he had
been videotaped removing patient records from other
psychiatric residents' mailboxes and shredding them.
When asked why he had done this, Respondent stated
that it was "a little bit of mischief" and he did
not mean any harm to anyone. During that meeting,
Respondent neither admitted nor denied leaving inappropriate
page messages and telephone messages for [fellow
resident]."
• "On exact dates unknown,
but at least on or about [Date], Respondent added
liquid that contained alcohol to patient juice pitchers
at [Facility]. Respondent did not have a physician's
order for this action, nor did she chart the provision
of an alcoholic beverage to any of the patients assigned
to her care."
• "[RN license] …
was revoked, based on her guilty pleas to 12 felony
counts of conspiracy and fraud and deceit in obtaining
a license by virtue of her failure to disclose the
criminal matter on her licensure renewal application."
(12 counts? How many licenses does she need?)
