While no one is happy at work all the time, there are usually early indicators of job burnout or job dissatisfaction. When these occur, we should start questioning whether we are working for the right employer or whether we are working at the right job. One of these early indicators is stress, including workplace stress. Do any of these sound familiar? Physical signs: • Fatigue (without any
medical issues)
• Headaches
• Sleep disturbances
• Teeth grinding
• Irritability
• Muscular and back pain
• Frequent upset stomach
• Difficulty concentrating
• Loss of interest in your
work environment
• Feeling that you're just
going through the motions Workplace signs: • Do you dread going to
work?
• Do you feel you need
more mental health days?
• When a certain supervisor
is off, do you feel better about your job?
• Do you spend more time
complaining about your job than doing it?
• Do you feel like you
are working harder but being appreciated less?
• Are more people taking
sick time?
• Has there been significant
staff turnover?
• Are there more complaints
