Think you know Dubai? Well it's better than you can imagine! Located on the Persian Gulf in the United Arab Emirates, people flock from all over the world to find the best in shopping and elegant culture in this shiny city with a population of 940,600.

Though the cost of living here may be high, the hospital provides your housing, and your income is tax-free so you will have plenty to spend. Tour the city the adventurous way – take an abras (large wooden "taxi" boat) that ferries people back and forth across the stretch of water between the old section of town to the newer area. Once in the new section you'll find the large (and air-conditioned) shopping malls, which have sprung up all over the city and house designer labels.

Outside of the city, you'll find sporting events with a twist, such as the popular equestrian and falconry races and show as well as camel and dog racing. Take a desert tour (either by camelback or four-wheel drive), go desert camping, or go desert hiking.
