You'll want to get out your 10-gallon hat for the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association rodeo – spanning nine days in late July and early August, it involves 3,000 participants and 14,000 spectators. Avid golfers will be happy to go driving on any one of the area's 15 courses, which range from par-3 executive courses to world-class greens. And during the winter months, skiers can snowplow or slalom to their heart's content on the area's almost 7,000 skiable acres (2,833 hectares), including, of course, that skier's paradise known as Vail.
