The city of Fort Wayne is located in northeastern Indiana, 119 miles (191 kilometers) northeast of Indianapolis. It is the county seat of Allen County, and home to 205,727 residents.

The community was named after General "Mad" Anthony Wayne, who established the fort that grew into a village, and later a city.
