Nepean, Ontario

Nepean is now suburban part of the city of Ottawa, but prior to amalgamation in 2001, it was an independent city, and thus not without its own character. Much of the area's long history can learned at the Nepean Museum.

Nepean is right beside the Rideau River, which is perfect for those who love the rugged outdoors. Of course, if you'd rather experience the river with a bit more luxury, the Nepean Sailing Club might just be your kind of organization.

The great thing about living in Nepean is that you get perks of living in a big cosmopolitan city, but still get to know your neighbors.
