With fantastic recreation, top-notch attractions, and a location between major Canadian and US cities, Niagara Falls really is a city that puts you right at the center of the action. Very few Niagara Falls residents can say they've done it all in the Niagara region. The city has attractions and activities for both kids and adults. One of the most exciting places for kids is Marvel Adventure City, a fantasyland featuring rides and games based on the characters from Marvel comics. There's also the Ripley's Believe it or Not! Museum, with displays about zany activities, feats, talents, and customs from around the world. Another major kid-friendly attraction is the World Wrestling Entertainment complex. Here, brave kids can check out the 220-foot-drop ride or peruse memorabilia of their favorite wrestler in the WWE store. There are even more activities for adults. The Shaw Festival in stunning Niagara-on-the-Lake, next door to Niagara Falls, presents top-quality theater all summer long. Most of the plays feature the works of famed British playwright George Bernard Shaw. For those who prefer bright lights and glamour, spend an evening at the brand new Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort, which has more than 3,000 slot machines and 150 gaming tables. This state-of-the-art complex also includes the Avalon Ballroom, an entertainment stage showcasing concerts by well-known artists from around the world. Besides fabulous evening entertainment options, you can also spend a relaxing weekend afternoon tasting the Niagara region's famous wines – the highlight of a Niagara wine tour is its famed ice wine. Most of the area's wineries offer tours and tastings; some feature fine dining in splendid country-style restaurants for a romantic evening or special events such as birthdays and anniversaries. To get the full Niagara wine experience, head to the region's two major wine festivals, the Niagara Wine & Food Classic in Niagara Falls and the Niagara Grape & Wine Festival in neighboring St. Catharines. For the whole family, the Niagara region has tons of recreational opportunities. With the Niagara River and lakes Erie and Ontario nearby, sailing, boating, swimming, beach volleyball, and waterfront hiking are just some of the activities for a weekend afternoon. The area has an extensive parks and trail system, including the new Millennium Trail. In addition, Niagara Falls is located in between the major cities of Buffalo and Toronto. In both cities, you'll find major attractions, including professional sports teams such as the Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leafs and the Buffalo Bills and Sabres. Found enough to do yet?
