Norwood, Massachusetts

Norwood is located in eastern Massachusetts, just 15 miles (24 kilometers) southwest of Boston. The town is part of Norfolk County, and is home to 28,587 residents.

Norwood was incorporated in 1872, and the city's top heritage attractions is the F. Holland Day Historic House Museum. This home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and was the home of a noted photographer, historian, and philanthropist.

Facilities include floor hockey space and sports fields, and the center also offers many fitness, dance, and crafts classes for all ages. Older citizens will find a wide range of activities at the local Senior Center. During the summer, be sure to check out the town's many outdoor concerts. For an outdoor escape, visit the nearby Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary, which covers almost 2,000 acres (809 hectares), and is an excellent place for hiking and wildlife watching.
