Imagine being able to see to the horizon in every direction. Imagine a sunset with every color in the rainbow mingling together in blinding brilliance or a night sky with the dancing stars hinting at the possibility of infinity. A place where such natural majesty exists that it could only be referred to as The Land of the Living Sky. That place is Saskatchewan. Beneath Saskatchewan's breathtaking sky, you find a province that remains true to the pioneering spirit that broke its virgin soil almost 100 years ago. With new and innovative advancements in fields such as agriculture, mining, biotechnology, and value-added food production, Saskatchewan remains on the cutting edge of both science and business. Whether it be the new state-of-the-art National Synchrotron Science Facility at the University of Saskatchewan or the world-renowned School of Journalism at the University of Regina, it's easy to see why Saskatchewan has often led the country in many fields of human endeavor. Natives of Saskatchewan have won awards such as the Nobel Prize, the Pulitzer Prize, Grammys, Tonys, the Order of Canada, and numerous Governor General's citations. Saskatchewanians have been athletes, astronauts, musicians, and movie stars. Saskatchewan is acknowledged as the home of Canadian Medicare and has produced a Prime Minister and a Governor General. Recreation also plays an important role in the lives of Saskatchewan locals. The province boasts more than 10,000 lakes and has hundreds of recreational facilities scattered throughout. In Regina, the Saskatchewan Roughriders make Taylor Field their home and the city's summer fair, Buffalo Days, attracts thousands of visitors every year. In Saskatoon, the Taste of Saskatchewan cultural fair allows people to experience the diverse cultures inhabiting Saskatchewan. You can't beat watching the Saskatchewan Native Theatre Company perform old masters' plays on warm summer days on the banks of the beautiful South Saskatchewan River. With so much to see and do and so much history and culture, Saskatchewan is definitely a great place to live. See our 242 Jobs in Saskatchewan Discuss This ArticleHave something you'd like to say?
