In addition to all of these exciting amenities, Sun City is set in the heart of the Northwest Valley, an growing community that is expanding into a center for sports, parks, and other tourist attractions. Check out one of the many golf courses, such as the Union Hills Country Club (and don't forget your shades!). For something totally different, hand-feed a giraffe at the Wildlife World Zoo! Or enjoy some waterfront fun at nearby Lake Pleasant Regional Park.

Spring training baseball is a must-see for all you sports lovers. Catch the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers playing in Surprise Stadium located in nearby Surprise. Also close by, in Glendale, you can enjoy home games of the Arizona Cardinals and the Phoenix Coyotes. If these aren't enough, there are the Diamondbacks and the Suns!

If you are interested in the arts, education and cultural activities, try visiting the 7,169-seat Sundome Center for Performing Arts in Sun City West. The Center is the world's largest single-level theater. Or get involved in Sun City's Chamber Music Society which presents a six-concert series from November to April, balancing internationally established and emerging performers. And of course, Phoenix, with its many professional companies, is only a short drive southeast.
