Your reputation as a professional role model will support the promotion of evidence-based practice in collaboration with advanced practice nurses, staff nurses and faculty members of academic institutions; and further creation of a positive environment that encourages continuous learning, impacts clinical and healthcare outcomes and advances the nursing profession. Specific tasks include seeking grant funding and opportunities for research activities; coaching and supporting shared governance/decision-making and interdisciplinary collaborative activities; educating staff on evidence-based practice and research development.This leadership position requires a Ph.D. in Nursing or a related healthcare field from an accredited hospital and current RN licensure in the District of Columbia. The ability to initiate new ideas and motivate/influence others is essential.
