Dear Cindy

After working two decades at a very large teaching hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, as a registered licensed diagnostic radiologic technologist,  I moved to Texas to be closer to my extended family. At the age of 56, I cannot find a full-time job where the continuity of patient care and organization of the hospital or clinic is structured. Seems like everyone is out for the almighty dollar and the patient, which is the reason why we are in the profession, comes second. Healthcare is not the same as it used to be, yet, I hope I can find a job to sustain my lifestyle until I retire.

I am a 57-year-old licensed practical nurse with 35 years experience working in the Caribbean. I am also multi-skilled with a diploma in career development and a diploma in guidance and counseling. I am finding it difficult to find work as a career development specialist and have been told that I lack experience. As a licensed practical nurse any upward mobility is less likely, so I want to work outside of nursing, but I am quite frustrated and feel like I've wasted time on a degree. Please advise.
 

I am interested in building a career in medical tourism and am looking for suitable job openings for the same. I believe that my medical background and PGDM (marketing) gives me the capability to add value in the related field. How do I find the right job for myself? I am from India, so whom do I talk to? I am looking forward to your advice for the same.
