Jobs for RNs are becoming tighter. It's due to a combination of factors – the recession has meant some RNs who put their career on the back burner are returning to work to supplement their family income. Others are staying on the job longer rather than retiring, or taking more shifts. This makes for an unfortunate situation for the new grad. California is one of the worst job markets in the nation.
