Dental Laboratory Technician needed for the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD!!!!!

The Washington-Harris Group, Inc. (WHG) is currently accepting resumes for a full time Dental Laboratory Technician to provide services at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. WHG is aggressively engaged in the bidding process for this contract. This position is contingent upon WHG being awarded the contract.Qualifications:Graduation from an approved program in dental laboratory technology accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation in conjunction with the ADA AND Possess one of the following:- Certification as a Dental Technician in removable partial denture with 24 months experience within the preceding 36 months as a Dental Laboratory Technician OR- Certification as a Dental Technician in Crown and Bridge with 24 months experience within the preceding 36 months as a Dental Laboratory Technician OR- Certification as a Dental Technician in Porcelain/Ceramic with 24 months experience within the preceding 36 months as a Dental Laboratory Technician OR- Certification as a Dental Technician in Acrylic Resin with 24 months experience within the preceding 36 months as a Dental Laboratory Technician.Letters of recommendation: Provide letters of recommendation from two practicing prosthodontists or laboratory managers familiar with the HCWs work. The letters must attest to laboratory skills, competencies, timeliness of work produced, and other related issues concerning their dental laboratory expertise. Recommendation letters must include name, title, phone number, date of reference, address and signature of the individual providing the letter. Letters must have been written within the preceding three years. The HCW is responsible for the completeness, accuracy and content of any letters of recommendation.Please note: Experience gained while teaching or with dental suppliers in such areas as product development, marketing, and sales shall NOT count toward the basic experience requirementGraduation from a military (DoD) Military Dental Laboratory C School, (87528753 or Army/Air Force equivalent) AND 24 months experience within the preceding 36 months as a Dental Laboratory Technician.

We are currently seeking the following:Dental Laboratory Technician(Variable Full-time)Perform routine tasks to support prosthesis and dental fabrication, such as creating preliminary and final casts based on doctor´s written and/or verbal instructions; create custom impression trays, base plates and boxes and pour preliminary casts; develop occlusions with artificial teeth in completely and partially edentulous cases and finish prosthesis with metal frameworks and other complex stents and splints. Other duties include: polish prosthesis for delivery, maintain and clean prosthodontic laboratory and equipment in accordance with laboratory procedures, assist in the procurement of laboratory materials and equipment and check all equipment periodically to ensure safe and proper operation. Must be able to maintain reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with the Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. We are seeking candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years of dental technology experience. Must be a graduate of an accredited two-year dental technology program.
