University Health System's Passport to Clinical
Excellence Nursing Residency Program provides new
graduates with the basic knowledge and skills to
function independently as staff nurses. Experienced
nurses are mentored in the clinical residency on
clinical skills/guidelines specific to that area.
Upon completion of the Nursing Residency Program,
staff nurses may pursue the opportunity to advance
their careers while remaining dedicated to direct
patient care through the Nursing Clinical Levels
Program. This program recognizes and rewards experience,
skills, certifications, special competencies, and
leadership/professional activities and behaviors.
