Oregon Medical Group is primary care based multi-specialty
group with more than 100 physicians in the Eugene and
Springfield area. We have 13 neighborhood clinics and
a central business office. More than one out of every
three people in the Eugene metro area sees an Oregon
Medical Group physician as their primary care provider
(primary care includes pediatrics, family medicine,
and internal medicine). In addition to primary care,
Oregon Medical Group offers specialty services in allergy,
audiology, dermatology, gastroenterology, laboratory,
obstetrics and gynecology, otolaryngology, physical
therapy, radiology, and imaging services. The medical
practice is governed by a board of directors, which
is comprised primarily of physicians. In addition to
the board, physicians participate in a number of committees,
which help direct activities within the organization.
An executive team of professional business managers
governs the non-clinical business operations of Oregon
Medical Group. Physicians Oregon Medical Group
was established on the principle that physician control
is essential for providing high quality medical care
and the development of a successful business model.
Consistent with this principle is Oregon Medical Group's
commitment to attract the brightest and best-trained
physicians in all areas of the practice. Philosophy
Oregon Medical Group's success is the direct result
of our commitment to patient service. Our philosophy
can be summarized as follows: The name Oregon Medical
Group is the symbol of honest and sincere service to
thousands of patients. Our success as a group, and
as individuals, largely depends on how we meet our
objective of quality patient service. The organization,
operations, and management of a medical practice differs
from all other commercial ventures in that we do not
deal in material goods manufactured or sold for profit.
Doctors provide a service to people who are in need
of medical assistance and guidance. The basic philosophy
of Oregon Medical Group is to provide those who come
to us with the most courteous and sympathetic treatment
and with the highest quality of care available, at
a cost that is reasonable. The growth and reputation
of Oregon Medical Group will be based upon such a tradition.
Oregon Medical Group will maintain the high standards
incorporated in the philosophy and tradition that each
individually, and all collectively, have established.
This group represents the finest of professional traditions.
We take great pride in the work we do and the capabilities
and caliber of our fellow employees.

Oregon Medical Group is located in the Willamette
Valley between the breathtaking scenery of the
Cascade Mountains and the Oregon Coast Range.
Eugene has 146,000 residents and is often referred
to as "The Emerald City." Many nationally known
magazines have touted Eugene for its livability,
pleasant climate, cultural diversity, quality
of professional services, and recreational activities
including: salmon and trout fishing, sailing,
kayaking, skiing, hiking and biking. The Willamette
River - the only navigable river in the northern
hemisphere to run the wrong way (south to north)
- flows through the center of the city with parks
and a greenway system that borders the entire
river. Four graceful bike-pedestrian-only bridges
connect both sides of the river and provide a
loop system for walkers, joggers, bikers and
roller-bladers and other curious human-powered
vehicles. Natural beauty is part of living in
this community. Eugene's airport provides
access to anywhere in the country. Eugene also
offers a great diversity of entertainment and
cultural events. From ballet to symphony to wine
festivals, art exhibits to Broadway productions;
you're a short drive from numerous options away
from the office. Eugene is home to the University
of Oregon and was PAC-10 conference leaders in
football and basketball during the 2001-2002
season. Private and public schools provide excellent
choices for education, including a French, Japanese
and Spanish immersion option within the public
school system. |
