Established in 1984, Aurora has become a nationally
recognized leader in efforts to improve the quality
of health care. Aurora has sites in more than 90
communities throughout eastern Wisconsin, including
13 hospitals, more than 100 clinics and over 130
community pharmacies. More than 3,400 physicians
are affiliated with Aurora Health Care, including
more than 700 who make up Aurora Medical Group. Aurora's
dedicated physicians, nurses and other health care
professionals provide a continuum of care to residents
of communities throughout eastern Wisconsin. Through
Care Management, our innovative approach to clinical
excellence, we tackle health care’s toughest
problems, implement best practices and improve outcomes
for our patients. It’s the continual striving
to find a better way that makes Aurora Health Care
unique. We're committed to a unique approach of delivering
care that keeps people healthy and out of the hospital.
Our work is guided by Care Management, our core philosophy
of improving patient care through prevention, early
detection and disease management. We back this commitment
with a promise to our employees to listen, implement
better ideas and continue to build a wide range of
career opportunities across eastern Wisconsin. No
matter where you may wish to practice medicine, Aurora
is sure to offer an opportunity that will meet your
goals. Whether you seek to join our employed medical
group or establish a practice and serve on the staff
of one of our hospitals, we have a variety of options
for you to choose from, ranging from small town to
suburban to urban locations. Importantly, our relationship
with Wisconsin universities allows interested physicians
to pursue faculty appointments, clinical-academic
positions and residency programs, opening up unique
career opportunities only a system like Aurora Health
Care can provide. An ideal state to practice medicine
Wisconsin is one of the most physician-friendly states
in the country. An effective Patient Compensation
Fund and a supportive legal environment all make
Wisconsin a great place to practice medicine. And
for self-starting physicians who want to determine
the course of their own practice, our state's low
level of managed care makes it an ideal place to
grow a rewarding career. To find out more about Wisconsin

In addition to the excellent environment for
a medical practice, Wisconsin offers a world
of lifestyle choices, from urban settings to
small communities and suburban areas. Friendly
neighborhoods, a renowned university system,
and an abundance of recreational and cultural
offerings make Wisconsin an ideal place to
live and work. Golf, racing, skiing,
boating, ethnic festivals, and four seasons
of professional sports are just a few of the
activities that Wisconsin families enjoy. For
the outdoor lover, Wisconsin's natural beauty
ranges from lush green rolling hills, to sandy
beaches and spectacular cliffs on the Lake
Michigan shore. From live theater to symphonies
and diverse ethnic and continental cuisine,
Wisconsin offers a true cultural smorgasbord
from which to choose. Please enjoy following

Aurora Health Care, Wisconsin's most comprehensive
not-for-profit system, is looking for exceptional
physicians who want to continually find new
and better ways to take care of their patients.
Our new partners will enjoy excellent practice
support and a collegial environment that allows
for a good work/live balance. "Physicians
within Aurora have a strong voice and leadership
role. We have been given excellent support
and tools with which to practice our profession,
including a modern, well designed facility,
up-to-date diagnostic tools, sophisticated
and user friendly computerized patient records,
electronic prescribing, and care management
tracking systems." Bob Devermann, MD
Aurora Medical Group in Oshkosh "It
has been my pleasure to work with an excellent
group of physicians who not only take great
care of their patients, but also have a great
sense of camaraderie and respect with their
colleagues. Combine this with the fact that
Wisconsin is one of the few states not in a
medical crisis and you have an unbeatable combination.
My husband (Aurora internist) and I have found
this area is a great place to raise our family."
Julie Hester-Diaz, MD Aurora Medical Group
in Manitowoc "Having been in private
practice for 15 years prior to joining Aurora,
immediate benefits for my affiliation include
leverage in negotiating managed care contracts,
relief from the burdens of billing and collections,
quality improvement support, an improved benefit
package, consultation in hiring training and
management of personnel, and finally, increased
compensation. Further, I am able to offer my
patients the latest technology and treatment,
on-site dialysis, PT/OT/speech, lab and imaging
services, behavioral health and urgent care.
I also enjoy expanded specialty support --
i.e., surgery, ENT and orthopedics." Britt
Kolar, MD Aurora Medical Group in Lake
