Medical and Health Services
Dean Health System
owns and operates a network of clinics and medical
facilities that provide primary, specialty and tertiary
care in southern Wisconsin. This network of medical
services include:
Dean Clinics
The original
"Dean Clinic" began in 1904 in Madison, WI, when
Dr. Joseph Dean, a surgeon, opened a small downtown
practice. Today, Dean Clinics comprise a multi-specialty
network of clinics that provide exceptional primary
and specialized medical care in central locations
throughout Dane, Rock and Walworth Counties.
Dean/St. Mary's Regional Clinics
St. Mary's/Dean
Ventures, Inc. (SMDV) was formed in 1989 as a joint
venture between St. Mary's Hospital and Dean Health
System to create a network of local community clinics
linked to advanced specialty care in Madison. Today,
there are more than 30 Dean/St Marys regional and
eye network clinics providing convenient care to
outlying communities in southern Wisconsin, and three
St. Mary's/Dean Day Surgery Centers in Madison and
Janesville providing outpatient surgery and care.
Davis Duehr Dean
Davis Duehr Dean ophthalmologists
and optometrists are part of the Dean Health System
network, providing specialty eye care in southern
Wisconsin. They make up the ophthalmology and optometry
departments and full-service optical stores of Dean
Health System.
