Nashville is a rapidly growing city, with a

1 million. Vanderbilt is ideally situated just
five minutes from downtown Nashville, but its
campus is also a nationally recognized arboretum.
The historic riverfront district boasts a lively

The Tennessee Performing Arts Center downtown.
The city has recently added an arena, home of
the National Hockey League Nashville Predators.
Adelphia Coliseum opened in 1999 and is home
of the National Football League 1999 AFC champion
Tennessee Titans.
Nestled in the central basin of Tennessee and
rimmed by wooded hills, Middle Tennessee offers
caving, rock climbing and spectacular hiking,
as well as fishing, boating and water sports
