Situated in the southwest corner of Saskatchewan, the Cypress Health Region encompasses a truly unique region of the province. At the western most end of the region are the Cypress Hills, an area known for its geological and ecological rarity. In the Northwest are the Great Sand Hills, which encompass a 1900 km2 area, one of the largest of its kind in Canada. At the eastern end of the region is Grasslands National Park, which serves to protect one of the country's only remaining areas of mixed prairie grassland. Finally, north of Swift Current is the Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park, which straddles the west end of Lake Diefenbaker and offers ample opportunity for boating and fishing. .
