Fraser
North Burnaby is a major urban centre
and the location of Simon Fraser University. New
Westminster on the bank of the Fraser River was
one of BC's first cities and remains an urban hub
of the Lower Mainland. Other communities in the
region are among Vancouver's most attractive suburbs,
offering all the benefits of proximity to the major
centre, but without Vancouver's high cost of living.
Belcarra Regional Park and Burke Pinecone and Golden
Ears Provincial Parks are nearby recreation areas.
Fraser
South This region offers South Delta's
sandy beaches, the community of Tsawwassen's palm
treed main street and Ladner, the fishing village
that grew up. To the east, there is North Delta
which borders on Surrey, BC's fastest growing city.
White Rock's waterfront boardwalk and pier are
a focal point of this seaside community. Langley
and adjacent historic Fort Langley combine the
advantages of country living with the conveniences
of urban living. Much of the region enjoys a warmer
than average climate, less rainfall than Vancouver,
and usually little snowfall.
Fraser East
Stretching along the Trans-Canada Highway from
Abbotsford to Boston Bar in the Lillooet Range
of the Coastal Mountains is our Fraser East region
that boasts bustling cities bordered by fertile
farmland.Abbotsford is home to the popular annual
Abbotsford Air Show. Harrison Hot Springs is a
tourist destination with rustic charm. Hope is
situated close to Manning Provincial Park. Hemlock
Valley ski area provides a nearby winter recreation
area and each community provides an alternative
to "big city" living, without giving up any of
the urban conveniences.
PLUS everything
Vancouver has to offer One of Canada's
most sophisticated cosmopolitan cities, Vancouver
delivers uptown excitement with an easygoing West
Coast flair. You can play golf in the morning,
go sailing in the afternoon and ski under the lights
on Grouse Mountain overlooking the city in the
evening - and that's in the winter months! Sports
events, theatre,concerts, universities, cultural
diversity which includes the second largest Chinatown
in North America, world class restaurants and so
much more. And take the scenic Sea-to-Sky Highway,
and you're in world-renowned Whistler Village,
mountain venue for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
