Geraldton District Hospital is a multi-care facility
providing contemporary health services to the Municipality
of Greenstone and First Nations communities. These
include inpatient services, such as low-risk obstetrics,
paediatrics, adult medical acute care, chronic care
and long-term care. The Hospital has a 24-hour emergency service, which is supported by diagnostic imaging (radiology and ultrasound), laboratory, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, social work, nutrition services, and diabetes education. Other services include community chemotherapy program, Anishnabe Resource Worker, visiting specialist clinics, chiropody for people with diabetes, Nakina Clinic and more. The catchment area of Greenstone has a population of approximately 8,000 including a significant population of First Nations and French-speaking clients. The Population Health of our community is defined by the lifestyle, education, income and employment of our residents.
