Prairie North Health Region (PNHR) is responsible
for delivering health services to the former Lloydminster,
Battleford, Northwest, and Twin Rivers Health Districts.
The new health region consists of two regional hospitals,
one district hospital, two community hospitals, one
hospital with an attached special care home, one
inpatient psychiatric hospital, five health centres
with attached special care homes and seven special
care homes. PNHR employs over 2,600 staff inclusive
of a professional team of nurses, other health professionals,
support staff and volunteers who work together to
provide services ranging from hospital and long term
care to home care, public health, community counselling
and other community-based programs. Incentives
Saskatchewan Health is currently offering two grants
for health workforce employees: a Relocation grant
for $5,000 and a Northern/Rural/Hard-to-Recruit grant
for up to $15,000. Funding is provided to health
workforce employees who agree to provide a specified
return-in-service commitment to work in the province.
