Baptist Health

For more than 50 years, we've supported our patients' and our employees' pursuit of full, healthy lives. As the region's most comprehensive health care provider, we are committed to continually expand and enhance our services to meet the needs of our thriving and ever-growing community.

Benefits
Just a few of the benefits offered to a Baptist Health employee include:

Tuition Reimbursement
This is a widely used benefit offered to eligible staff, employed for at least 90 days, who wish to enter a degree seeking program, a certification or licensure program, or enroll in a variety of programs for personal and professional enrichment.

Nursing Education Institute Services
The Nursing Education Institute offers or co-sponsors for Baptist employees a variety of informative workshops and seminars featuring nationally renowned speakers. For information on current programs, call 904.202.RNRN (7676).

Nursing Refresher Course
The purpose of the course is to provide clinical updates and reviews to registered nurses and licensed practical nurses wanting to enhance their clinical opportunities.

Computer Classes
If you've ever wanted to know more about how to use Word, Excel, Power Point, or even using Windows, Baptist Health offers free classes to all of its employees.

E.S.O.L. (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
These courses provide English language instruction for limited English proficient adults. They are designed to prepare students to communicate effectively in a multi-faceted society with workplace, life, and academic applications. This program of courses is divided into several Literacy Completion Points.

Test of Adult Basic Education (T.A.B.E.)
The T.A.B.E. is an assessment of basic skill levels in reading, writing, and math to determine your program placement prior to registration in certain academic programs. It is a pre-requisite for employees who are interested in obtaining a clinical certification such as Surgical Tech, Associate Care Provider (ACP), or Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). It is also helpful for those interested in obtaining their GED (General Education Diploma).

Community

Throughout our 50-year history, Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia residents and healthcare professionals have considered Baptist Health a major healthcare resource. Meeting the needs of our thriving and ever-growing community is a challenge we welcome on a daily basis. In early 2005, we opened Baptist Medical Center South, our newest high-tech, family-centered hospital and all four of our existing facilities (Downtown, Beaches, Nassau, and Wolfson Children's Hospital) are being expanded.
