The four-story, acute-care hospital spans 60 acres, with an additional 40 acres being built to house a medical office building as well as research and laboratory facilities. The hospital has 88 private rooms with guest accommodations and four special care nursery beds, with the capacity to expand to 400 beds over the next five years. Mercy Gilbert is a major boom to the East Valley economy, helping to create more than 3,000 jobs and generating $283 million annually to the Town of Gilbert through direct and operational costs.
