Newport Hospital is a private, not-for-profit, acute
care hospital founded in 1873. The hospital has 129
beds and offers a wide range of health care services
including diagnostic imaging and testing, the Noreen
Stonor Drexel Birthing Center, an inpatient mental
health program, occupational health services, the
Vanderbilt Rehabilitation Center, and community based
primary care offices. Newport Hospital has state-of-the-art
surgical facilities and cardiopulmonary services
along with an emergency department that features
private examining rooms, a trauma room, cardiac rooms,
a fracture room and a radiology suite. Newport Hospital
has received Magnet designation from the American
Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
