Hospital is a values-driven hospital that provides
high quality care in a patient-centered atmosphere
to a service area of over 225,000 people. The hospital

The hospital provides care to more than 29,000 Emergency

The
hospital offers a stand alone Same Day Surgery Center
that was designed with physician input. The center
provides a high-tech setting for physicians, while
providing an inviting atmosphere for the patient and
family, including a beautiful healing garden. The hospital’s
emergency room is being renovated and will provide
a larger, more centralized emergency department that
will enhance privacy for patients, and further streamline
registration and triage.
A new Cancer Center,
under construction and slated to open in early 2008,
will build on the well-developed cancer program and
Breast Center already in place at Good Samaritan Hospital.
This 25,000 square foot facility will expand the radiation
therapy area that features the hospital’s state
–of-the-art linear accelerator, and will include
12 comfortable infusion suites overlooking a landscaped
viewing garden. A resource library for patients and
family with internet access, a staffed boutique, and
office space for physicians specializing in oncology
will provide a holistic approach to the Cancer patient
and their family.
Multiple specialty services
are available including Cardiology, Diabetology, Nephrology,
and Cardiovascular Surgery. The Heart Center will be
opening an additional cath lab this year. You will
find state-of-the-art equipment throughout the hospital
including a linear accelerator, P.E.T. scanning, MRI
services, and two 64-slice CT scanners, which offer
unprecedented image quality and detail, diagnostic
speed, and the lowest patient exposure available. To
improve both patient care and physician lifestyle,
we have embraced technology by utilizing the PACS system
and Care Manager System, allowing you to view patient
images and records from your home or laptop.
Nestled in the Ohio Valley along the eastern
bank of the Wabash River, you will find one of
the state's best kept secrets. Vincennes is a quiet,
charming town located in southwest Indiana, offing
a safe environment with three award-winning public
school districts, along with two private, affordable
Christian schools.
In Vincennes, you will
find beautiful parks with camping, hiking, picnic
areas, walking trails, baseball/softball fields,
basketball courts, swimming pools, tennis courts
and much more. Travel only a few miles from town
and you can find lakes and reservoirs for boating,

a focal point for growth in the community.
Vincennes
offers something for everyone. Theater lovers can
enjoy live performances at the new Red Skeleton
Theater or on Broadway at Fifth by the Old Town
Players. The Northwest Territory Art Guild provides
a supportive atmosphere for sculptors, painters,
and illustrators whose works grace the community.
If you want to take in a movie, you can choose
from eight different titles at the newly built
Kerasotes Theater, and then wind down with soda
and some homemade ice cream at the old time soda
fountain.

the first college in Indiana. Vincennes University

college with a system wide enrollment of around
8,000 students coming from all 92 Indiana counties,
25 other states, and numerous other countries.
It includes over 50 buildings, is located on 100
acres, and is continuing to grow. The University
is known for their outstanding nursing program,
as well as their aviation program, and has recently
begun offering four-year degrees in multiple areas.
This
is an exciting time as Vincennes has just received
a $750,000 grant for Main Street, a $150,000 grant
for downtown loft apartments, a new Teachers Credit
Union, and plans for a $1,000,000 River Walk. Kohl’s
Department Store is underway and will open in the
fall along with several other retail stores. A
beautiful Community Center and a Holiday Inn Express
are also under construction & will soon be
open. Vincennes is a great place to live, to work,
