Introducing the HEALTHeCAREERS Network CareerFair!
By Cynthia M Piccolo
On Wednesday April 9, 2008, HEALTHeCAREERS Network and MedHunters.com are launching our inaugural CareerFair targeting nursing and allied health professionals in and around the Rocky Mountain region of the United States. This unique career fair, presented by the Colorado Hospital Association, allows employers to meet with pre-screened, qualified candidates in a comfortable, intimate setting.
Why is the HEALTHeCAREERS Network CareerFair valuable for you, the job seeker?
First, the obvious reason: You may find a job!
In one convenient location, you can have interviews with one or more employers, and learn about different employers and different locations, and what each offers. You can compare what you've learned, and see what best suits you.
It's a great opportunity to build your network.

Dear Cindy:
I am a laboratory technologist who is currently in a temporary supervisory position in the lab (covering for a maternity leave). When my current position ends, I will return to my usual bench technologist position. What is the best way to incorporate this work experience into my résumé?
Sincerely,
Temporary Supervisor

Foot & Leg Pain
By Sheng Wang
The typical person walks more than 100,000 miles (160,900 kilometers) in his or her lifetime. The average healthcare professional may very well exceed this number, given marathon shifts and the hours spent traveling along hospital corridors. At the end of the day, it's no wonder that sore feet and aching legs are a common complaint among nurses and other healthcare workers.

Toe-Food!
By Apryl Chapman Thomas
In 1984, podiatrist Dr. Mark Wolpa, had the idea of creating a life size chocolate foot to send as a holiday gift to referring doctors and patients.
Wolpa began by selling to other podiatrists, but as the chocolate's popularity grew, he heard from non-medical people who were looking for something creative. Nineteen years later, Toe-Food Chocolates and Candy is a profitable company.
