Kentucky Dam Village
State Resort Park Kentucky Dam Village is one of three state resort parks near Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, a 170,000-acre wooded peninsula bound by Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley.

Village Inn Lodge & Village Green Inn

 The nautical theme of the Village Inn Lodge lobby is reflected in a spacious, bow shaped design, polished metalwork and rich aquatic tones. Each of the 72 newly renovated rooms at the Village Inn Lodge offer a private patio or balcony. The Village Green Inn, located by the 18 hole golf course, offers 14 rooms and may be rented as an entire unit for a group. Rooms available by late afternoon.  Check-out by noon, Central Time.  AAA 3 - Diamond rating.  Pets are not allowed (with the exception of service dogs).

Cottages

 With 68 cottages, Kentucky Dam Village has more choices for overnight accommodations than any other state park. You can choose a one, two, or three-bedroom cottage with one or two baths. Tableware, cooking utensils, and linen are provided. Open year-round. Cottages are available by late afternoon. Check-out by 11:00 AM, Central Time.  Pets are not allowed (with the exception of service dogs).

Harbor Lights Restaurant

Nestled in the lower level of the Village Inn Lodge and offering a view of the last dam on the Tennessee River and the marina, our award winning staff prepares the freshest foods. From cedar planked salmon steak and New York strip steak to our very own Kentucky fare, the menu offers something for everyone. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Harbor Lights is dedicated to bring you the best of western Kentucky hospitality. As a supporter of Kentucky Proud program we utilize locally grown meats and produce when available.

Camping

The park’s campground offers 219 paved campsites with water and electricity hookups, a grocery store, three dump stations, and four central service buildings with showers and rest rooms. Air Camp for aviators offers the opportunity to camp by your aircraft. The facility has one central service building.  Gasoline not available.  Reservations are accepted. Check-out by 1:00 PM Central Time.  Closed for season from mid-November to mid-March. 

Golf

Enjoy the best that the Kentucky State Parks Golf Trail has to offer by playing the Signature Series.

The granddaddy of the Signature Series is at Kentucky Dam Village. This par 72 course plays 6,704 yards from the back tees. The terrain is gently sloping. A day on the links is enhanced by all the amenities of this popular park. A fully equipped pro shop is open year-round with rental riding carts, pull carts, and clubs available. Golf packages are offered.

Things To Do

Horseback Riding

Enjoy a guided 45-minute scenic ride through the woods and along the lakeshore. The Rocking U, LLC provides the guides, safety helmets, and a unique way to observe the wildlife and their habitat of Western Kentucky. Some of the wildlife spotted includes birds, deer, wild turkey, raccoons, foxes and waterfowl.

Trail rides go out on the hour 9 am till noon and 1pm till 5pm Memorial Weekend - Labor Day. Rides are $15.00 per person, with pony rides also available for $5.00. Group scheduling and reservations are available by calling the stables, 270-362-4276 extension 370.

Recreational Activities

Tennis courts are available at Kentucky Dam Village. Overnight guests may check out sports equipment.

Planned Recreation

Daily summer activities and year-round special events for children and adults are planned under the guidance of a trained recreation director.

Gift Shop

Offering one of the largest gift shops in western Kentucky, you will find a variety of unique items, such as handmade baskets, pottery and homemade jams and jellies. Nautical theme items as well as coffee mugs, cookbooks and t-shirts are also available.

Kentucky Dam Marina

The park’s boat dock features overnight dockage, rental fishing boats, pontoon boats, and ski boats. Open March 1-October 31. $ for rentals. Marina: (270) 362-8386.

Pedal boats

Kids young and old will love the new self-powered personal watercraft, just delivered this year. Rental booth is located near the beach. Seasonal.

Fishing enjoyment never ceases at Kentucky Dam Village! With an abundance of largemouth, smallmouth, Kentucky and white bass, bluegill, channel and blue catfish, crappie, and sauger, Kentucky Lake is the perfect year-round vacation spot for the avid angler!

For an aviator’s delight, there is a 4,000 ft. paved, lighted air strip located a mile and a half from the lodge. Gasoline not available.

Kentucky Dam Village is located approximately 12 miles from the north entrance of the Land Between the Lakes where more than 200 miles of trails and abandoned roads meander through the backwoods, fields and alongside peaceful lakeshores.

A swimming pool adjacent to the lodge is for the use of lodge and cottage guests only. Open seasonally.
