Our 11-clinic network, which serves six local hospitals
and thousands of patients throughout the region has over 150 physicians
and mid-level practitioners and features 25 specialty departments with
more than 700 support staff. The heart of ACMC is providing compassionate,

Our History
Affiliated Community Medical Centers formed
on January 1, 1971, with the merger of Willmar Clinic and Lakeland
Medical Center. The clinic was called Willmar Medical
Center at
that time. It was composed of 18 physicians and two administrators
with the specialties of Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics,
General Surgery and Urology represented. The original founders
felt that a larger healthcare organization would allow greater
opportunities in the healthcare industry to attract additional
physicians, allow
them to purchase additional high-tech medical equipment and improve
efficiencies.
