The City of Auburn's website now offers visitors a glimpse of Auburn through the City's new live web cams. The web cams provide live video feed at intersections throughout the downtown area. To date, six cameras have been deployed utilizing the City's Wireless Mesh network system.
To view the new web cams, visit the City's website at www.auburnalabama.org and select the "Web Cams" tab in the left-hand menu. Visitors may choose to view live video from six cameras positioned at intersections throughout the City, including:
- Magnolia Avenue and College Street (Toomer's Corner) - The College Street/Magnolia Avenue camera is located at the central point of the City. With College Street dividing the City east and west and Magnolia Avenue dividing the City north and south, this camera offer's a bird's eye view of Toomer's Corner, the gateway between the City of Auburn and Auburn University.
- Glenn Avenue and North College Street - Located at the intersection of North College Street and Glenn Avenue, the College Street webcam provides a view of the heart of downtown Auburn looking toward Toomer's Corner from the north.
- West Glenn Avenue and North Gay Street - Located at the intersection of West Glenn Avenue and North Gay Street, the Glenn/Gay webcam provides a view southward on Gay Street toward East Magnolia Avenue. Auburn City Hall is located halfway down the street, on the right.
- North Ross Street and East Glenn Avenue - Located at the intersection of North Ross Street and East Glenn Avenue, this camera provides a view westward on East Glenn Avenue.
