Barnstable SEPAC: Special Education Parent Advisory Council [pdf]
The next Barnstable SEPAC meeting is Monday 9/8 at 6:30 at BHS.
We will be welcoming new members from 6:30 - 7:00.
At 7:00, the members interested in staying for a support meeting parent-to-parent (or grandparent or significant of a student).
At 7:00 there will also be a CORD Transition to Adulthood Program (TAP) workshop. TAP works with students ages 14 to 22 who are transitioning from Special Education to the community. Polly Sherman of CORD will present an overview of the transition process. This will include the responsibility of the school system, creating a transition plan, accessing benefits, an introduction to adult services, options for further educational opportunities and job training. Each student has his own individual needs so please bring your questions.
