About Orillia


-Transportation-

Orillia Transit

The Orillia Transit System provides service throughout the City of Orillia, with buses operating on four routes. Buses leave downtown every half hour, some alternating, during the following hours. Mon - Fri - 6:15 am to 6:15 pm and Saturday - 8:45 am to 5:45 pm

Orillia Transit is owned by the City of Orillia and operates under contract by Laidlaw School Transit who provide drivers, maintenance and fuel.

General Information

- Inquiries 326- 8300.
- Terminal located at Peter & Mississaga Streets.
- Bus service operates all days except Sundays and statutory holidays.
- Transfers may only be made at the terminal.
- Coloured numbers represent time of bus arrival at some stops (noted in minutes after the hour).

Dash Bus Service

- Free inbound service from all 'Dash' stops to the terminal.
- No transfers are provided from 'Dash' stops.

Orillia Students Monthly Bus Pass

(O.D.C.V.I., Park Street, Twin Lakes, Patrick Fogarty, OASIS, Georgian College and The Learning Centre)
Price : $40.00 / month
Availability : Orillia City Centre, 50 Andrew St. S., Suite 300
Rules of Use :
- Users must print their name in ink on the front of the card.
- To ride the bus, the student must show the monthly pass along with Student ID Card from one of the educational institutions listed above and it must have a picture and name same as pass.

Air Travel

Pearson Internationalnal Airport:

Located 115 km south of Orillia in Mississauga, Ontario, is the busiest airport in Canada and offers a complete range of daily domestic and international flights. Limousine and bus service connections are available to Orillia passengers, and car rental agencies provide a one way drop off service to or from Pearson. Travelling time to the airport is just over one hour.

 

Lake Simcoe Regional Airport:

This airport is located 20 km. south of Orillia off Hwy. 11. Located outside Toronto's busy airspace it welcomes corporate, commercial and general aviation. The airport offers a 5,000 ft. paved and lighted runway, aviation fuel - 100LL & Jet-A, instrument approach, Canada Customs, Passenger & Freight charter service and flight training.

Lake St. John Airport:

Located on Lake St.John, 16 km east of Orillia via Hwy. 12 and off the Rama Rd. The airport has 2 runways, the longest being 1000 metres. It is able to handle Twin Otter, Baribou, Buffalo and most light twin engine aircraft. Maintenance is available, as well as new and used parts.
